We had fine weather in London last week, the sun was shining and a soft breeze kissed its way up the Thames and through the city. We weren’t going to let it go to waste, so on Saturday herself and I took the train from our digs in the East-End and headed South-West to check out Kew Gardens in the Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
David Attenborough says that Richmond is his favourite place on the planet and if you ever get the chance to go there then you’ll understand why. It’s a beautiful corner of the world and on a warm spring afternoon you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We were there for the best part of six hours and didn’t manage to cover even a half of its vast and sprawling grounds or even so much as scratch the surface of what this incredible place has to offer.
